چکیده

Induction-coil magnetometers are among the most common devices for measuring both static and transient magnetic fields in accelerator spectrometer magnets. Recent developments have included an induction-coil array mounted on a sledge, which is translated mid-plane of normal-conducting This device, subsequently denoted as moving fluxmeter, used to derive field homogeneity magnet center, well gradients fringe-field areas. Induction coils capture flux through surface that traced out by coil windings. A deconvolution necessary recover density from measured voltage signal. The key idea this article combine advantages small large induction optimize sensitivity function frequency domain. In way, information loss due ”blind-eye” frequencies can be avoided signals deconvoluted with ease. While design metrological characterization inspired theory rotating-coil magnetometer, needs expressed terms longitudinal spatial instead angular frequencies. Consequentially we working Fourier transforms, series periodic signals. function, i.e., convolution kernel, optimized relevant range precise layout coil-turns printed circuit board (PCB). Measurement results presented validate concept prove its respect classical design.

The Search Coil Magnetometer for THEMIS

THEMIS instruments incorporate a tri-axial Search Coil Magnetometer (SCM) designed to measure the magnetic components of waves associated with substorm breakup and expansion. The three search coil antennas cover the same frequency bandwidth, from 0.1 Hz to 4 kHz, in the ULF/ELF frequency range. They extend, with appropriate Noise Equivalent Magnetic Induction (NEMI) and sufficient overlap, the ...

MgB Coil Options for Fusion Poloidal Magnets

A hybrid solution is proposed for the IGNITOR research fusion machine by using of superconducting coils for some poloidal magnets, in association with high field copper magnets for the central solenoid and for the toroidal field coils. The choice to be made among the various superconductors is based on the materials performances in high magnetic field, on the mechanical strength of the conducto...

Large Aperture Hexapole Magnets for the Super-FRS LEB Spectrometer

It is proposed to use a magnetic spectrometer [1,2], located behind the Super-FRS [3] in the LEB cave, for experiments with exotic beams at low and intermediate energies (5 to 200 MeV/A) and stopped beams. For the HISPEC/DESPEC [4] experiments where exotic ions are measured in coincidence with gamma spectroscopy at the secondary target MF10, a good mass identification is necessary. This require...

Micromechanical Torque Magnetometer for In Situ Thin-Film Measurements

We describe a new type of magnetometer based on a microelectromechanical system (MEMS) for in situ monitoring of magnetic film moment during the film deposition process. The magnetometer measures mechanical torque on a film as it is deposited onto a microscopic flexible silicon cantilever. The cantilever is excited by an external ac magnetic field and its angular displacement is proportional to...
